MAGIC MATCHED series

Books 1-4
by Lola White

Genre: Paranormal Erotic Romantic Suspense
Magic Matched tells the story of Silviu Lovasz and Georgeanne Davenold, two witches with a power only told of in myth. In witching society, there is a strict hierarchy. Family covens are ruled by Mothers or Fathers who hold the bulk of their bloodline’s power and archaic rules are enforced, disregarding modern sentiments. Magic and politics are the only things that matter, and marriages are arranged for advantage rather than love.
Silviu and Georgeanne have been betrothed since the moment of Georgie’s birth. When Silviu’s father learned a baby was to be born under the Bane moon, he reached across the Schism dividing the covens into matriarchal and patriarchal houses to the Davenold Mother, with a bold scheme to place their children at the top of the witching hierarchy. With Silviu wielding the enhanced talents of a Reap witch, he is the perfect match to Georgie, an abomination without magic who should have been killed at birth because of her defects. The only way to protect themselves against those who fear them enough to kill them, is to take a position of leadership.
Silviu and Georgeanne must learn to open their hearts to each other in order to unlock their full magical potential. But with all that stands in their way—archaic traditions, murder plots, and a betrayal that threatens all they can be—they will need the group of allies they have built to help them navigate the dangerous world of witches, and the dark magic stalking them every step of the way.

“That’s right, Georgie. I was born in the Reap, the balance to your Bane, your Match in every fucking way. My father made sure of it and, later, so did Madeleine. I’ve had a much better education than my brother could ever dream, with the tutors she sent.”
“Good for you. She did it for herself, though, Silviu. For the Davenolds, not the Lovaszes.”
He shook his head, his voice lowering until it was a breath against the darkness. “She did it for you, because she believed, like my father, that the magic would pass on, making your line stronger.”
“Bullshit. She doesn’t believe any such thing. She wants magically powerful great-grandchildren and your father was willing to sell your sperm to the matriarchs.”
He didn’t try to hide his anger. “You’re right, and Madeleine will have my strong magic in her bloodline. Your children, our children, will be stronger than any witch in a hundred generations, your magic and mine combined into theirs.”
“You mean child.”
“We’ll have more than one, as only Matches can.”
“Don’t bank on it.”
He saw the stubborn disbelief in her eyes, the spark of frustration, and tamped down his own. He changed tactics and switched topics, not giving her a chance to argue further. “Do you ever think about the night I first put my hands on you?”
She froze, stopped breathing. She shook her head as her eyes flew wide. Silviu smiled and stepped closer, ever closer, until there was only enough room for their bodies’ heat to pass between them. He set his hand at her waist and sent it sliding up, following the line of her torso to her ribcage.
“You do,” he whispered wickedly. “You remember how it felt, when I ran my hands over your bare body, when I ran my thumb over your perfect little nipple.”
“Stop it. This is inappropriate at a Levy Family function.”
Her voice was too breathless to heed. He curled his fingers over her breast, craving shooting through him when he felt her nipple pebble under his touch. Her breath faltered, turning ragged, her pulse hammering in her slender throat.
“Do you remember when I put my mouth on you and kissed my way down, finally tasting your first flood of passion. How sweet you were, all innocent and fresh, lifting for me with a need you didn’t even bother to hide.”
Silviu.”
He squeezed her nipple lightly as he licked across her lips, nearly giving in when her mouth opened for him. Instead, he ruthlessly held onto his lust and drew back, leaving her aching, needing. He hoped as needy as him.
Slowly, he moved away from her, gathering his control around him. “I think you’ll taste like that again, Georgie.”
In witching society, magic and politics are the only things that matter, and marriages are arranged for advantage rather than love.
Tulah Ngozi doesn’t want to go home, but she’s being forced to attend the wedding of the man who killed her father years ago. The Ngozi men are determined to use her in their plots against each other, but she takes her future into her own hands when she learns that Adam Davenold will also be in attendance. Adam is a powerful man in a matriarchal Family, used to being seduced by women looking to gain power. He’s good at guarding his heart—until he meets Tulah.
Diplomacy demands that the Davenolds attend the wedding and, in the company of their Matriarch, Adam and Georgeanne travel to the Ngozi residence, where they become embroiled in a frightening power struggle. Georgeanne is grateful for the unexpected presence of her betrothed, Silviu, who arrives uninvited after he learns she will be there. When the groom proves disturbing and the Davenold Mother falls to a suspicious illness, Silviu’s magic is the only thing Georgie can depend on for support.
In witching society, magic and politics are the only things that matter, and marriages are arranged for advantage rather than love. But more than politics is at stake in a minefield of lies and betrayal. Death and dark magic stalk the Ngozi–Levy wedding, and only Silviu and Georgeanne’s Matched magic has a chance of getting everyone out alive.

Ileana reached for the door.
Red light oozed from the jamb, flying out from the metal but slowing dramatically on its collision course with Ileana’s arm. Silver spiked into existence, the power of Ileana’s personal magic all but eradicating the spell guarding the exits. The two tones surged against each other, but the silver won out and chased the red back into hiding.
Georgie turned wide eyes on her sister-in-law. “What did that feel like?”
“Awful, but I think I could make it through with a running start.” Ileana turned to Georgie and wiped a shaky hand over her sweaty brow. “I take it you have more in common with me and my brother than I first realized?”
Georgeanne saw magic because it couldn’t be used against her, but Silviu, and apparently Ileana, saw magic because they could influence it. Georgie’s secret couldn’t be held much longer, but that didn’t mean she had to go into explicit explanations. “Close enough. You’re a strong witch, Iley. It reacts with greater force to lesser magic.”
“Almost like an enhancement.” Ileana humphed and let the door close. “Your turn. In Poland, when that knife was magicked at your head, it hit some kind of force field and slid off without any harm.”
“My life is not a science-fiction movie.” Georgie rolled her eyes. “It’s not a force field.”
“What is it, then?”
“Adam calls it Bane imperviousness.”
“How did you lose your magic?” Tulah broke her silence and Georgie shifted to study her. The color in her cheeks had returned, she was steady on her feet and the faint indigo swirl surrounding her body had settled down.
“I’m not Bane-made.” Georgie watched Tulah’s reaction very closely. “I was born under a Bane moon.”
“You’ve never had magic?”
Georgie shrugged. “I can’t use magic and magic can’t be used against me.”
Tulah’s eyes flashed with pity a moment before she went still. She’d never make a good politician, unless that indigo magic she used gave her an advantage that Georgie couldn’t detect.
Georgie studied the woman for another few moments, wondering. Vague suspicions and soft doubts stole through her mind, but before she could organize them, indigo flickers began to whirl around Tulah’s body. Georgie turned toward the door, leaving her questions unvoiced. She didn’t know whose ears were listening.
In one swift move, Georgie pulled open the door and stepped outside. A sheen of red flashed, there and gone as she passed through. A humming pressure coasted along her shoulders, her vision wavered for a fraction of an instant, then it all stopped. Georgie stood on the front porch, surveying the door from a new angle.
“I think you’re prisoners,” she finally said.

In witching society, magic and politics are the only things that matter, and marriages are arranged for advantage rather than love.
Christiana Davenold doesn’t want to be Mother, but her husband is pushing for her to be named heir. Milo just wants to protect his wife, and he believes the position of leadership would keep her, and their unborn child, safe from the challenges of her cousins.
But Mother Madeleine refuses to name a successor.
As the Davenolds gather in the hopes that they can heal their Mother from the dark magic attack that has left her weak and near death, Silviu Lovasz and Georgeanne Davenold find themselves at a turning point neither could have expected. Troublesome Family members, secret alliances and the unexpected arrival of Father Daniel Levy cause an emotional upheaval that will test them both.
Only love can see them through the danger, but in witching society, magic and politics are all that matter. The connection they’ve managed to forge will be tested as suspicion grows and trust is broken by the ultimate betrayal.

“Georgeanne!” A deep voice immediately recognizable as her father came to them. “At least fifteen people saw you come in here with Silviu Lovasz. Open this door at once!”
The situation was regrettably similar to what had happened ten years ago. Georgie’s father had found them naked and entangled when they were teenagers, and had helped keep the betrothed pair apart for a decade. Gritting his teeth against the agony searing his mind and body, Silviu reluctantly stepped back, knowing the moment had passed and he’d lost his chance.
He fought to keep from sending his magic winging through the door to kill Georgie’s parents where they stood.
Georgie slid off the desk to stand on shaky legs and smoothed her hair. Silviu stuffed his stiff cock back into his pants with a grimace. Awkwardly, he forced his throbbing body to bend and snatch her panties from the floor.
“That was too close,” she hissed. “That can’t happen again.”
“It will,” he promised her. “I want you, I need you, and you are mine. The next time I get my hands on you, and that will be no later than the end of this day, I will fuck you breathless. To the point you won’t even be able to scream your pleasure.”
“Georgeanne!” her father yelled.
One minute,” she called back. She spun on Silviu with a heated look that had nothing to do with lust. “I will say when, do you understand me? When I have permission, I will share my body completely, but until my grandmother approves, I won’t risk everything I’ve worked for just because you make me come.”
He didn’t have the heart to tell her how wrong she was. He didn’t have the words to explain how they’d both been used and betrayed by the people who’d sworn to love them and protect them at all costs. Silviu couldn’t bear to tell her that neither of them would find any help in achieving the goals their Families had given them. It was up to them to forge a new path through a dangerous minefield of intrigue and manipulation.
So he stepped close and shoved his hand under her skirt. With unerring accuracy, he found her entrance and pushed two fingers deep inside. Hot, scalding, a promise of heaven and everything Silviu had ever hoped to achieve in life. Ignoring the insistent pounding on the door, he filled her with his fingers as she went to her toes and clutched his shoulders.
“I will have you, Georgeanne. This is between us and no longer involves anyone else. They can’t keep me from you ever again. I won’t let them.”
He pulled his fingers from her body without regard for the way she staggered back on trembling legs. He didn’t dare hold on to her any longer. He licked the taste of her from his knuckles even as he opened the door and caught her father’s gaze.
“She’s mine,” Silviu snarled in the other man’s face. “This time, there’s nothing you can do to stop me from claiming her.”

In witching society, magic and politics are the only things that matter, and marriages are arranged for advantage rather than love.
The Council of Covens has been called to session, and the fate of the witching world hangs in the balance. So does Bijoux Laurent’s future. The sheltered witch is scheming to make Costel Lovasz admit how much he loves her. He has denied his feelings for years, but now Costel’s being sent on a mission of seduction to gain her allegiance because his brother needs Bijoux’s telepathic talents.
Silviu and Georgeanne Lovasz-Davenold need every ally they can get when the dark magic witch they’ve been hunting makes a bold move. The odds are against them, especially with lies, betrayal and distrust keeping Silviu and Georgie’s Matched magic unstable. To have any hope of success, the couple must open their hearts to each other, but that level of forgiveness and compromise may not be possible between the two witches from opposing sides of the matriarchal-patriarchal divide.
In a society where magic and politics are all that matter, only love can unlock Silviu and Georgie’s full potential and win them sovereignty over all.

“Your father was wrong! Vasile read some fucking fairy tales and figured they were as good as real life.”
“He’s been right—”
“He’s been half-right,” she argued. Georgie took a step back and rubbed her temples. “We can’t depend on legends alone, Silviu. We have to face facts.”
“My father believed you would be an extremely powerful witch. He believed that all your magic is locked inside you, hidden by your Bane shield, but that my magic held the key.”
“It’s the other way around,” she whispered.
“No. Magic Matches take the heft of the stronger witch. You access my magic, but I can’t access yours. That means you’re more powerful than I am, and we just have to unlock what you have, stabilize it and learn to use it.”
“I have no magic for you to access.” She held up a hand to forestall his argument. “Whatever I am, Silviu, and whatever we can be together, it’s not what your father expected.”
He stared at her for a long minute, the silver hue of his eyes darkening, his lips pulling straight. Just when Georgie was about to simply leave him to his thoughts and find a quiet place to organize her own, he moved. Silviu was lightning quick when he wanted to be, and she didn’t have a chance to register his actions before he’d caught her in an unbreakable embrace.
“My love.” His breath feathered over her ear and made her knees melt. “We’ll figure out what we can do, but only when this wall of doubt between us comes down.”
Not giving her a chance to reply, Silviu captured Georgeanne’s mouth with his own. He dominated and conquered, letting the full force of his authority bear down on hers. Reacting without thought, she fought back with slick thrusts and wet parries, doing her best to combat his patriarchal arrogance with her own feminine pride.
But the kiss dragged her under his spell—a different kind of magic. The enchantments of want, need and desire fed into the alchemy of the schoolgirl’s crush and became the woman’s greatest pleasure. The magic of sensuality between two lovers who fit each other in every way had the room spinning, swirling with gold, controlled without effort.
Silviu broke their kiss, but his lips moved against hers as he said, “I’ll teach you to trust me again, Georgeanne, the same way I taught you before—with pleasure, patience and love.”

After several weeks of burning sex, Ian convinces Kris that he doesn’t want to leave. Will she let him stay or watch him go?

EXCERPT #1
The bartender continued to check back with him every half hour or so. She seemed nice enough, but he knew she only did her job. Her brown hair shimmered in the dim light in the room and her ass looked great in her tight jeans.
A half hour on the dot since her last visit, she came up to his table.
“How are you doing?” she asked for the hundredth time.
“I’m okay. Can I ask you a question?”
She’d started to turn, but stopped and waited. “Sure.”
“Does anyone around here need a day worker for a week or two? You know heavy lifting and that sort of thing.”
“I don’t know. You might find a stocking job at one of the grocery stores. It will be a month or so before the farms start getting their fields ready for planting. Why?”
“My motorcycle is being repaired and I need to come up with the bucks to pay it off.” He saw her brows crease and knew what she would say. “Don’t worry. I have some money to pay for my meal, just not enough for repair bills.”
“No. I wasn’t thinking that,” she said. “We could use a bouncer. Do you have any experience with that type of stuff?”
No, he thought. “Yeah, I can do it.” How hard could it be?
“How’s fifteen dollars an hour to start? If you work out, it could go up to twenty.”
“I doubt I’ll be here that long, but fifteen would work. Who do I talk to?”
“What do you mean?”
“Who’s the owner? Don’t I have to talk to him?”
She laughed. “I’m the owner. This was the easiest interview ever. Can you start tomorrow?” She leaned her hip against the table and her eyebrows rose.
He looked up at her and tried to smile back. “You own this place?”
“Yeah. Don’t piss me off and we’ll do just fine. Start tomorrow at five.”
“I’ll be here. Thanks.” Ian watched her walk away. “Hey. What’s your name?”
She turned back and laughed again. “Sorry, I’m Kris Marcus.”
“I’m Ian Deatherage.”
“Guess I shouldn’t call you death or rage, huh? It would be bad for business.”
“Would it be okay for me to crash here tonight? I can sleep on the floor.”
EXCERPT #2
Ian liked to watch her move, though. Her curves were nice and soft, and her ass would fit his big old hands just right. Sitting up straight on the stool, he looked away from her and around the room.
Do your job, asshole. You can’t fuck the boss, he thought.
Around one-thirty Kris brought him a cup of coffee and during the transfer ran her finger over the back of his hand and looked at him.
“I know you’re watching me.” She smiled.
“So?”
“So, nothing. Do you like what you see?” She turned and walked back to the middle of the counter swishing her hips. When she turned back, she winked at him and then took an order from a waitress.
When the bar closed, the crew cleaned up, collected the garbage, and put the chairs up on the tables.
As the other employee’s left, he watched Kris turn off the lights behind the bar and move to the stairs. Before she started up, she turned and smiled at him over her shoulder. Ian locked the front door and turned off the Open sign. He stood by the door, looked at the stairs and wondered if he could put this in the good idea column. Should he screw her? His cock said yes, but his head went into a fog.
He went up the steps, turned into the office and saw her perched on top of her desk. She watched him move into the room and he could feel her look burn into his soul. Stopping in front of her with his thighs against her knees, he could feel heat come off her. One of his hands developed a mind of its own and reached up to her cheek. He ran his thumb over her lips.
“I don’t do gentle,” he said.
She bit his thumb and looked up at him. “I don’t like gentle.”

Riley Frost walked through the front door at Fellow’s Bar and Grill and, Ben, the bartender, waved. He nodded and sat down on a barstool at the end. The room wasn’t overly crowed and there were enough women in the place that he thought he’d come out on top. He hoped to find a nice curvy woman to curl up with for the night. The noise and laughter helped bring his tension down a notch.

Ben walked to his end and set a glass of Loch Lomand single-malt-whiskey in front of him. It was Riley’s favorite and the bar kept it stocked for him.

“My headache thanks you, Ben.” He accepted the glass.

“Steven should be back from a break shortly, Mr. Frost. Care for a game of chess?” the bartender asked. “It would give me a chance to win back some of my losses from last month.”

“Perhaps. I’m a little on the prowl tonight. Is it too late to get a pulled pork sandwich or something?”

“I’ll see what I can do.”

Riley nodded, picked up his glass and a newspaper off the end of the bar, and walked over to an empty table.

Ben came out from behind the bar. “We can do the sandwich. Chef wants to know if you want coleslaw, chips, or fries?”

“Chips are fine. There’s no need to heat up the fryer.”

“Good.” Ben smiled and went back to the kitchen.

Riley read through the headlines on the front page of the paper and then heard the front door open. A woman about five-foot-ten walked in and went straight to the bar. He did a double take and found it hard to take his eyes off of her.

She wore an emerald green, mini-tank dress that had lace in all the right places. It hugged her hips tightly and when she turned to the bar, he saw it had no back. The sides were cut low under her arms and the curve of her breasts showed just enough. Her long, brown hair would slide side to side when she moved and he thought he saw a scar on the middle of her back. Her legs alone caused Riley’s cock to stir and he thought he may have found his catch for the night.

An older man with dark-graying hair walked up to her. Riley almost started to crack up laughing. The guy wore his hair in a fluffy 80s style cut and had a walrus mustache. The woman smiled and spoke with him. The man put his hand on her arm and she peeled it off and shook her head.

“Woo…turn down, dude. Things are looking very good,” Riley said to himself, and took a sip of his whiskey.

Ben brought his sandwich over and set the plate down on the table. Riley stopped him from leaving.

“The woman at the bar, dead center, with the green dress and brown hair, what can you tell me?”

The bartender looked over his shoulder and nodded. “She is gorgeous, but I think she may be a professional.”

“Really?” Riley felt a bit surprised. She looked too classy to be a hooker.

“I don’t know it for a fact, but she comes in here every other week or so and never leaves alone.”

“Good, her drink’s on me, Ben.” He’d never seen her before and he spent a lot of time at Fellow’s.

“I’ll see to it. She’s a single-malt woman. May I give her some of the Lomand?”

“Very good idea.” Riley nodded and started to eat his food.

He saw Ben walk behind the bar and prepare the drink. The woman still spoke to the 80s throw back. The bartender put the drink in front of her and pointed toward Riley. She looked over her shoulder just as he slid a potato chip into his mouth. Her eyebrow arched and she turned back to Ben and pushed the glass back at him. They exchanged a few words and the woman picked up the drink and walked toward Riley.

She set the glass down and leaned over with her hand on the table. Riley had a perfect view of the tops of her breasts and he almost lost his breath.

“I don’t accept drinks from strangers, but thank you.” She straightened up.

“Why don’t you have a seat? I’m Riley Frost, now we’re not strangers anymore.”

She stared at him for a moment with caramel colored eyes and then turned back to the bar. He admired her rear and his cock became hard as a rock, it wanted her so much. She is mine, he thought.

As she slid onto a stool, she motioned for Ben to bring another drink.

The other man sat next to her and continued to make his moves. He tried to put his hand on her thigh and she moved it.

Riley stood, finished his drink, and pulled his wallet out of his back pocket. He took a bill out and picked up the full glass of whiskey she’d left on his table. On her left side, he moved between her and Mr. Walrus Mustache, to crowd the guy away from her. Riley put the cold glass against her bare back.

She sat up, leaned into his hand, and looked at him over her shoulder. Riley didn’t look back, but flagged Ben. He handed the bartender a one-hundred dollar bill and then leaned toward the woman.

He moved his lips to a millimeter from hers and whispered, “The Loch Lomand is a thousand times better than that swill you’ve got. Have a lovely evening.” He brushed his lips over hers and let his hand slide over her breast as he set the drink in front of her. Her nipple felt hard as a bullet. He smiled and started toward the door.

Oh yeah, I give her less than five minutes. She’s mine, he thought. He went out the door, turned left and stood at the corner of the building.

[Siren Classic: Erotic Contemporary Romantic Suspense, HEA] Turner Black works for a group in Seattle that helps find people who were separated from loved ones for one reason or another. He’s hired to find the half-sister of a man, Stewart Tarver. Their shared father has passed away and left the half-sister part of a large inheritance.

Turner finds Rae Smith. She works as a stripper at a dance club in Tracy, California. She always wanted to be a ballet dancer, but the death of her mother took that dream away and Rae started to strip when she turned eighteen years of age. From one club to another, she is happy to just survive.

Turner and Rae are drawn to each other and, although the sex is great, she isn’t big on commitments and doesn’t want to deal with the inheritance game. And someone tries to kill her and then kidnaps her for sale to a slave trader in Hong Kong. Will she be able to trust Turner?

Turner found her performance one of the best he’d seen and this trip turned out to be worth it. She definitely could be the Rae he’d searched for. He could see the little girl who held the stuffed rabbit from the old picture.

He showed his investigators badge to the bartender and explained that he needed to speak to her. The owner came out and asked him why. All Turner told the man was that her brother looked for her due to a death in the family.

After about a half hour, she came out from behind the stage. Her hair was tied up in a Scrunchy and she wore tight jeans with a pale blue cable knit sweater. Instead of the three inch spiked heels she had on a pair of flat tennis-shoes.

She walked up to the bar alone and sat on a stool two down from him. “Jake told me why you’re here. I think you may have me confused with someone else. I don’t have a brother.”

“My name is Turner Black and I’ve been hired by your half-brother, Stewart Tarver, to find you, Miss Sibley.” He looked at her as she leaned over the counter and snagged a bottle of vodka and a shot glass. She really was gorgeous and he admired her ass as she moved back down to the stool. Her eyes were a light carmel color and she had a little sprinkle of freckles across the bridge of her nose.

“The name is Smith, not whatever you just said.” She took a sip from the shot glass.

Turner took the old picture out of his pocket. She looked at it. He watched her and saw her eyes squint. It was a dead giveaway and he’d learned how to read people over the years.

When she sucked in a deep breath and let it out slowly, he knew she remembered that photo.

“According to your half-brother, this picture was one of the few times you met him and your father.” He knew by the look in her eyes it was familiar.

She pushed it back at him. “I’m sorry, Mr. Black. It’s not ringing any bells.”

This goddamn woman is stubborn, Turner thought.

****

When Rae looked at the picture she saw a little girl with a stuffed rabbit in one hand and an older boy stood next to her and held her other hand. That stupid rabbit was the only thing she had left of her mother and would never give it away.

“I think it does ring bells, Miss Sibley.”

“Smith, as I said. I’m Rae Smith.”

“Your father passed away about a year ago and your half-brother’s looked for you since.”

“Mr. Black, I never met my father or any brother. I’m an only child. My mother died when I was twelve. I’ve been on my own ever since. She never said anything to me about a brother.” She swallowed the vodka and put the lid back onto the bottle.

“Miss Smith, I know your history.”

“You know nothing about me.” She slid off the stool and started back to the dressing room. Grabbing her jacket and bag, she walked out the back door of the building, rounded a corner and there stood Mr. Black by a dark grey Toyota Prius. Good gas mileage, she thought, arched her eyebrow and started to walk past him.

“Miss Smith, could I give you a ride home?”

“No thanks,” she said and kept moving down the sidewalk.

The engine started in the car and she realized he followed her. When she got to the corner, she stopped and looked at him.

“So, you’re a stalker and all that other story was bullshit?” She bent at the waist and looked at him through the window.

“No, I’m not a stalker. Can I buy you some coffee? There is more to explain.”

She started across the street and as he motored through, she turned left and headed another direction. Her apartment was only a few blocks away, but if she cut through the alley, she could go in the back way. He wouldn’t be able to follow her.

She saw a light flash in the corner of her eye and looked over her shoulder. Her pace picked up and the alley turned about one-hundred feet away.

“Look, what do you have to lose? You’d be able to finally open that dance school you always wanted,” he shouted from the car window.

Rae stopped dead in her tracks and stared at him. There wasn’t any way possible he could know what she wanted.

[Siren Classic: Erotic Contemporary Romance, HEA] Jarrah Hejazi is an ex-Marine, who defended his country and now owns a security company. He’s worked, but forgot to live. On a visit with friends at Safe Haven, he meets Grace McKay and a boy named Jonah. Haven is a place where street kids get help and feel safe. Little does Hejazi know that within a couple of months his life will change one-hundred percent. Grace McKay, an ex-marine, works at Haven. She’d heard the owners talk about their friend Hejazi and when they meet, there’s more she wants to know. Hejazi and Grace surrender to their attraction and work to find the brother of Jonah. The brother was taken by Feathertop, who gives street kids a safe place to live and then trains them to pick pockets, rob cars and homes. Dealing with a team member off the grid, and being chased by people who want them dead, Hejazi and Grace have to figure a way to keep it together. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

“How did you fair, Jarrah?” Rae asked.

“The kid beat me twenty out of thirty games.” He looked over his shoulder. “I have some information.”

Grace followed them out of the room and down a hallway toward the offices. He stopped and lowered his voice. “His name is Jonah Sullivan and he’s eleven years old. He has a brother named Jacob who’s fourteen. They were dumped at a park and ride in Reno by their mother and after they lived on the street for a few days met some guy named Feathertop who brought them to Sacramento.”

“Unbelievable, the kid’s been with us for six weeks and all we knew was his nickname.” Rae shook her head.

“This guy Feathertop gives them the nicknames and insists they use them always.”

“I’ve heard of that guy. He’s sort of like Fagin in Oliver Twist. He promises them food, safety and in exchange they’re taught to pick pockets, steal purses and I’ve even heard they’ve robbed some houses,” Grace said.

“I was over in Sacramento this morning and think I may have seen his crew. We were protecting the singer Veronda and I don’t know how many worked the crowd, but they were good.”

“Let me see what I can find out about Jonah Sullivan.” Rae looked toward her office.

“It’s sad. I mean, to be dumped by your mom and then his brother brought him here and told him to wait until he came back. Poor kid.” Hejazi shook his head.

Grace now found she admired this man’s heart. He felt for Kit.

“Turner will be here to pick me up around five-thirty, oh and Grace will be joining us.” Rae grinned.

She wanted to crawl into the carpet and hide. When she looked at Hejazi, he smiled.

“Great, I won’t be a third wheel,” he said.

Grace stared at his dark eyes and realized she couldn’t determine what color they were. They were either black or dark brown, but they mesmerized her and when she became aware that he stared back, she blushed.

“Rae, could I ride with you and Mr. Black?” she asked.

“You could ride with me. I don’t know my way around here and you can direct me,” Hejazi said before Rae could answer.

Grace smiled. “Sounds good.”

“I should go find a place to stay the night. How about I meet you out front at five o’clock?”

“That’s fine.”

****

Hejazi found a Holiday Inn and booked the room for the next five days. He wanted to spend some more time with that kid, Jonah, and see if he could find out more about Feathertop. He also wanted to get to know Grace McKay.

With his connections to the military and feds he could easily find out about her, but decided he’d rather get the low down direct from the source.

It was over fifteen years since he’d been with his last girlfriend. On his first tour of duty, when he’d gone home to Chicago for two weeks leave, his girl, Marissa, acted strange when they met back up. After a couple of days, she’d told him that she’d fallen in love with an insurance salesman. The news kicked him in the balls and he’d decided to put his time and energy into the Marine Corps’ and starting his security group. He never wanted to feel his heart tear in half again.

Fifteen years passed with a blink of an eye and this coming October he’d turn forty years old. He’d gotten to a point where he could monitor the business from wherever he decided to live. The men in his group could handle the job professionally and didn’t need him to be present all the time.

Grace McKay was a beautiful woman and ex-military which gave them something in common. Her height caught his attention, too. His six-foot-five build made it difficult to date smaller women, not that he dated. The fleeting thought that he wouldn’t have to bend at the waist to kiss Grace made him smile while he shaved. Their bodies might even fit together nice and snug, too.

He looked at himself in the mirror. “You’re putting your cart way before your horse, asshole. She’s probably married,” he said to his reflection. “Or she’s involved with someone and you won’t have a chance. You have work to do in a month and don’t need the aggravation.”

Ian Deatherage’s past is a shadow. He’s doesn’t make friends traveling from place to place on his motorcycle. When it breaks down he has twenty dollars in his pocket, he’ll have to find a job to pay for the repairs.

Kris Marcus is the owner of The Scamp. She offers Ian a bouncer job. Ian works for a week and the relationship between he and Kris builds and boils over into a night of hot passion. His words to her – I don’t do gentle – turns out fine. She isn’t used to soft touches.

Ian and Kris dance around each other and find a hot attraction. She figures once his motorcycle is fixed he’ll leave area and wants to protect herself. He doesn’t know committed relationships and isn’t sure what to do.

After several weeks of burning sex, Ian convinces Kris that he doesn’t want to leave. Will she let him stay or watch him go?

One of her hands moved to his shoulder and her nails dug into his skin. She felt him jerk under her and he swatted her hand away.

“You keep that up and I’ll have to put you over my knee,” he said and then bit the tender skin on her breast and flicked the nipple. “You want to ride me, don’t you?”

“Yes.”

The thumb on his hand kept alternating the pace and Kris realized the power shifted. Ian now held all the cards and she didn’t mind one bit. He could do this to her all day long.

When his hand moved away from her crotch, her eyes popped open. “What…don’t stop.”

He palmed her breast. “I want your mouth again. Come here.” His mouth covered hers and they both started to breathe hard. She didn’t think she’d be able to catch her breath right for the rest of the day. His lips, tongue and teeth devoured hers and she thought it could be the best kiss she’d ever experienced.

BROKEN BASTARD

by A.L. Simpson

Genre: Contemporary M/M Romance (heat level: hot)

Present Day

My name is Tyler Maxwell Alexander. I’m twenty-eight years old.
A few months ago, I had it all. An executive job in a prestigious investment firm owned by my father. Ha! Yeah, right – father. I’ll explain about that later.
I lived in a waterfront apartment overlooking the harbor and drove a Mercedes convertible. Then, in the blink of an eye, it was gone. All of it. Everything, except the fucking clothes on my back. I was broken. A bastard.
Did I mention, I’m gay? No? Oh well, I have now.
This is the story of how my fairytale life turned to shit in the blink of an eye…….

CHAPTER ONE

The Past

Joshua Alexander barges into my office, no polite knock at the door, no excuse me, how’s your day? He glares at the files strewn on my desk before training his angry gaze onto me. “Pope file, now.”
I rummage through the pile, locate the Pope investment file, and thrust it in my father’s direction. He snatches it from me and turns to leave.
“They won’t stay. We can’t offer them the return the Phillips can. He said he would leave half with me but that’s it.”
Dad swings around and pins me with narrowed eyes. “Thinking like that will get you fucking nowhere in this business. Half is not good enough. Samuel won’t take no for an answer, he’ll demand they keep it all with us.” He storms from my office and I can’t resist giving him the bird behind his back. Yeah, real mature I know.
Samuel is my brother, three years younger than my twenty-six years and mom and dad’s golden child. Literally. While I have hair as black as coal and pale gray eyes, my brother is surfie blonde with clear ice blue eyes. The image of my father. I’m tall at six feet seven inches, he is average at five feet eleven inches. My body is hard with washboard abs I work hard to keep. Samuels is soft with a little too much fat around the middle. In looks we are poles apart. In temperament, we are planets apart.
I’m easy going, slow to anger. A loner and a little on the shy side. Samuel is a mean motherfucker like our dad and has a deadly short fuse. Fuck, his temper could blow you into outer space. Brothers we might be, friends, we are not. Hell, we don’t even like each other, can’t even stand to be in the same room together most of the time.
We all work downtown at Alexander’s Investment Corporation. It was my grandfather’s business, handed down to my father. One day, being the eldest son, it will be mine.
When I finally take control, if there is a business left to take control of, changes will be made. We miss out on, and are losing, accounts because of dad’s and Samuel’s greed. Our commission is one of the highest in the city. As I said – greed. The only thing keeping most accounts with us, and the business afloat, is loyalty to my father. God only knows why! We also have a high success rate in recommendations. Or should I say, I have a high success rate. Not to blow my own trumpet but, Dad and Samuel are shit when it comes to selecting successful investments. They don’t study the market and make snap decisions which usually backfire. Big time.
Anyway, as I was saying, clients stay because of our, read my, success in making them money. Other firms take lower commissions but their success rate is around sixty percent on average. Mine is ninety percent.

BOUND FOREVER

Pleasing the Manwhore, book 2
by Jenna Fox
Genre: Erotic Romance
Content: spankings, light bondage, older man/younger woman, age difference, submission/domination themes
***PLEASE NOTICE: This book is NOT considered a standalone. You must first read Book 1 ‘The Arrangement’ in the ‘Pleasing the Manwhore’ duology.
NOTE TO READERS: For audiences who enjoy the Fifty Shades/alpha billionaire fantasy.
His rules were simple, and my heart was supposed to be safe after the orgasms were over and the blinds had been raised.
I was wrong.
I thought running would make this indescribable pain go away.
Wrong again.
Starting my life over in a different place was supposed to make me forget him, but the hold he had on me was inescapable.
Insidious.
All consuming.
Sullivan Cooper seduced his way into my heart and mind; binding me to him forever. No, it wasn’t enough that he had to break me and take all I had…
He came back for more, and I found myself having to make the most important decision of my life.

~Sullivan~

Pushing my hands deep inside my pockets, I drew in a long breath as I looked out the window. We’d taken off from Asian soil hours ago and were cruising at optimum speed, but this plane was going too damn slow.
Ten long months. I hoped I hadn’t waited too long, but almost a year of therapy was needed to get to the bottom of my issues. Now confident that I was in a better place, I could move forward with my plans. Echoing in the back of my mind was the reality that ten months was also more than enough time for Taffi to find another man.
God, the thought made me nauseous. And the idea of a silly frat boy buying her a drink and taking her back to his place so he could coax her into sleeping with him made me want to punch the wall.
It was my fault. One of the Cooper male maxims was to aggressively pursue what we wanted and once it had been claimed, fiercely protect it. I’d failed the last one, but as long as there was breath in my body I’d fix it.
Or die trying.
I’d spent a lot of time thinking about the past. How Taffi had looked tied to my bed and bent over with her perfect ass in the air. I remembered her taste as I worked my lips over her body, licking the thin sheen of perspiration from her skin. Damn, she was delectable. Salty and sweet. Feminine and soft. Eyes closed, lips parting. Completely abandoned to the pleasure and pain I gave her.
The plan was to get her back in bed and see it all over again.
I couldn’t wait to bind her wrists. Blindfold her so she would be more aware to the sensations. Her supple skin would sting from the slap of my hand in an open-handed spanking. Oh yes, she loved my hand on her ass.
I wanted to hear her scream my name. Feel her tight channel gripping my cock until we came in sync. I wanted to feel her go lax and collapse on my chest. I’d hold her there—close to me. This time never letting go. Never letting the word goodbye fall from her lips, thus bringing a tear to her eye.
So deep in my thoughts, I didn’t hear my assistant come in with the reports I’d been expecting. At some point, he’d dropped the manila folder on my desk and made himself scarce.
Unsure of what I might find inside, I stared intensely at the file like it was a bitter enemy. What I already knew had upset me—Taffi had a job. Her bank account reflected an automatic payroll deposit, meaning she wouldn’t need me for long.
But what else would I find in this packet of information?
Could I handle the new developments the private detective had discovered?
Did this make me a stalker?
I didn’t care. When a man needed and wanted a woman until he couldn’t sleep at night, he did what it took.
Including shedding his pride.
My heart beating at super sonic speed, I tried for a calming breath as I put my hand on the folder. Photographs spilled out of the open side as I lifted it from the desk. I snatched up the pictures mid air as they fluttered toward the ground. Jealousy and possessiveness struck me like lighting as I looked as each one. Taffi had been seeing another man, but not just any man.
A low-down, prick lawyer.
RELEASE DAY SPECIAL. GET YOUR COPY BEFORE THE PRICE GOES UP.

I wasn’t supposed to need him…

But I did.
I wasn’t supposed to crave the smell of his skin and require the very air he breathed…
But somehow I found I couldn’t breathe without him.
I was only supposed to provide physical pleasure and shove my emotions to the side, not allowing love a place into the equation.
He wasn’t supposed to own me. Heart, mind, body and soul. My God, I was such a fool to think I could go along with this arrangement and not involve my heart.
Synopsis:
Taffi Watkins only wanted to escape an abusive home when she fled a small Texas town. She had dreams of starting a new life. A better life.
Those big city lights seemed to shine so brightly when she stepped off that bus, but soon she discovered the pursuing of her dream had also been the worst mistake of her life.
And then came Sullivan Cooper.
In the blink of an eye he made all of her troubles disappear. He accepted her and brought her into his world of fast cars and fancy clothes. Immersed in Mr. Cooper’s universe of unbridled passion, Taffeta forgot he was twenty-five years older than her as he introduced her to his brand of pleasure and pain.
Taffi only thought she knew pain, until Sullivan Cooper taught her better.

Erika Bailey, owner/manager of a drag queen club in Bangkok, Thailand has happily settled into all aspects of her new life, except for her lack of a love life. When a new diva auditions, Erika is bewildered over her instant attraction to the blond God, Apollo.
Darien Scott is on vacation after a world tour and mistakenly figures the safest place to be is at The Black Dragon with the head of a Triad. When the club is hit, Darien is the only person to get out alive. Now he’s running from the police and a Triad. Mistake number 1.
Disguised as a drag queen, he’s hired by Erika, but falls hard for his new boss, then struggles with not coming clean with her. Mistake number 2.
Can he fix his mistakes and find a life filled with love or is he headed straight for mistake number 3?

Erika dipped a chip into the salsa and popped it into her mouth. “I can’t decide. Mexi-taco or Cali-taco.”
“Huh?”
“Number twenty and twenty one.”
“Simple.” He placed his menu on the table and picked up a chip. “Get one of each, but make sure there’s room for dessert. ‘Cause I want a Churro. Or maybe the Sweet Chimichanga.”
“Or both.” She popped a salsa-covered chip into her mouth.
“Awesome.” Darien dipped a chip and bit into it, trying not to look like he couldn’t tear his gaze from her. The elegance of her moves as her fingers unfolded and reached for a chip. The curve of her wrist as she scooped some salsa. The jolt in his body when she opened her mouth and licked her lips. Watching the chip disappear past her teeth was too much for his control. His cock sprang to life. He’d never be able to look at chips and salsa the same way again.
The waitress placed the tray of monkey wings on the table. Erika squealed as they both reached for one. The happiness spread from her face to her body. Her nipples were visible, pressing against her dress. The pressure in his slacks increased. Her lips parted. He stifled a groan. She slid the piece of meat into her mouth and lightly bit into it. Her teeth grazed against the chicken meat, pulling it from the bone. A dribble of sauce escaped. She flicked her tongue across her bottom lip, closed her eyes and heaved a delighted sigh. Sweat ran down Darien’s back. Yes, the wings were spicy. But the vision across from him was twenty jalapenos hotter. She picked up another wing. Darien trembled, grabbed his drink and chugged half of it. It did nothing to cool his soaring temperature, or reduce the swelling in his pants.
The visual of her lips wrapped around the chicken wing morphed into her lips around his fully aroused cock. As she pulled the next wing from her mouth, he swallowed–hard. He wiped his brow. “This is hot.”
“Not too hot for you?” She placed her index finger in her mouth and slid it out, licking off the sauce.
“Not really, but I just might have to take a cold shower.” He grabbed another wing. She reached for one. Darien shuddered. He never knew eating Mexican could be so erotic.

Release Blitz – XS: The Interview – TJ Chapman

Xs: THE INTERVIEW

by TJ Chapman

Publisher: PGP Liquid Gold

Genre: Erotic Romance
Content Warning: 18+

His name is whispered behind the hands of many gossiping women.

The way he pleasures a body leaves you craving his touch, his words, and his breath. The way his eyes bore into yours, you want to look away, but you can’t. He controls every part of your being while you’re in his domain. And when you leave, you feel bereft, but sated.

Who is this man they speak about?

Megan Brayer has the chance to interview this elusive gentleman. Will the answers he gives to her questions satisfy her curiosity?

This is the first book of many short stories. Each story will tell its own little story and can be read as stand alone.

“First of all, thank you for taking the time to let me do this interview. I’m going to jump right in because your secretary said you didn’t have much time today. To start easy, the first question is why? Why did you choose this as your profession?” It was the one thing that puzzled Megan.

“My time today is yours, I’ve made sure of that; and to answer your question, why not? I have the means, and motive as it were. I gain pleasure by giving it. I get paid to help these people, to give them what they want with total anonymity. It’s not dangerous or stupid, and I certainly know I’m mature enough to cope with each situation that comes to me. I don’t care about their history, their backgrounds. I get a little peeved if they’re married or have a partner, and I do try in all instances to persuade them not to come to me, but it is what it is. I’ve had several couples come to me, so it can’t be all that bad.”

“So you do it to gain pleasure? Surely you could go to a bar each night for that, or has it got something to do with money?” Megan had a nagging thought that he was just a typical player who was in it for the money as an added bonus.

“Miss Brayer, my first paid ‘job’ was just before my eighteenth birthday. I had a student in the grade above me begging for my help with her English. She didn’t have much money, but came up with the idea that she could give me a blow job as a payment. Crude, it seems, but as a young man, I was up for it. At the time I was still the gentleman my parents raised me to be, so I did hesitate. However, the girl was one step away from not graduating and by the end of the week, I caved. After I’d helped her with the work she was set, she offered me the ‘payment’, but I could see it in her eyes. Fear and nerves. She didn’t want to do it just as much as I didn’t want to use her for my own horny satisfaction.” He picked up his tall glass of iced water, took a sip, and smiled at Megan as he sat it back down on the crisp white tablecloth.

“I told her that she didn’t have to do anything and that I wouldn’t pressure her, but she wouldn’t take no for an answer. We talked for a long time. At that point in my life, I had no clue how to please a woman. One minute we were talking about the stresses of being teenagers and the next, she was showing me how to please her. I was curious and very much willing to learn, so over the next few months I helped her catch up with her work and she taught me the art of pleasing a woman.”

Megan snorted a little. “That’s a bit one-sided, don’t you think? She got the education and the pleasure, too.”

“Not at all. I got an education also, and even if it was one-sided, what horny teenage boy would say no to free sex and a pair of boobs to play with?”

“True. So what happened after you left school?”

“Well, that’s when my education really kicked off. I took a few psychology classes to help both me and women. I went to clubs, all different ones. Early on I learned the more I pleasured a woman, the more I got from it. I observed them constantly. Some women gave away what they wanted from the beginning, others were more reserved. It was almost like I was power hungry. The more I watched and learned, the more a woman would writhe under my control, and the harder I came. I didn’t even have to have sex with them. I could give them pleasure all night and then go home to finish myself off. Those were always the best nights.”

“Power hungry to give pleasure. That sounds pretty strange.”

“Not really. Miss Brayer, take away the fact that we have morals, societies, et cetera, and what we’re left with is nothing more than basic human instincts. Animal instincts. Men still like to congregate around a fire. We’re the heads of our households and when it comes to the bedroom, our instincts really come out. Do you know why most women like their hair being pulled?” he asked, and Megan shook her head, trying not to be pulled in by the feral look in his eyes as he gazed at her over the small table.

TJ Chapman hates talking about herself in third person…

Living in small villages and towns for most of my life, you would have thought that it would get boring as hell. Fortunately for me, I loved it. I got to know a lot of people and when you take the time to ‘people watch’ as a child, your mind can run at a mile a minute.

I often let my mind wander into the lives of these people. That old lady down the road, well, she could have been a spinster witch. The pub owner who looked very shifty, well… He could certainly be up to no good with things in his cellar. You get my point.

I love writing almost any genre and most of my stories are based around the small villages and towns I grew up in, in Kent, UK. Humour, Supernatural, and Romance are my main focus, but if I get a good plotline in my head, my fingers start typing.

NEW TRICKS: PLAN A

Emma worries her marriage will become humdrum and insipid now that the children have flown the nest. Fretting over it won’t make it better, though. Action will.

Jonathan wants to surprise his wife with a romantic getaway now that he’s got her all to himself. But judging by her plans for rejuvenating their marriage, it looks like she’s considered leaving him—that’s her Plan D.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, so Jonathan goes along with Emma’s suggestions in order to win back her love. Plan A sounds exciting, and Plans B and C are not bad either. Plan D might never happen… if he survives Plan A first.

“Delicious!” Jonathan said, tacking quickly on the end, “As always.”

I was certain that, despite my best efforts, my frown hadn’t left my face for close on twenty-four hours now. My dear husband was doing his best to cheer me up over dinner, and it wasn’t working. What better wake-up call did we need?

“Honey, please could we talk?”

His eyebrow rose as he pinned me with a concerned gaze, his fingers wrapped around the last of his bread drip-dropping dots of gravy onto the table. He finished the movement, chewed and swallowed, then asked, “Is Ashley pregnant?”

“No.”

“Did Tyler get someone pregnant?”

“No! Jon, stop with the assumptions. It’s not about the kids.” Big breath, and then I met his eyes. “It’s about us.”

His left hand immediately shot over to cradle mine. Anxiety burst forth from him in a wave I could almost feel like a physical slap in the face. I didn’t have the heart to keep him waiting.

“It was yesterday when it hit me first… the fact that we’ve grown… not apart, but maybe… into a team. That’s it—we’re a team. We work well together and get things done, and hon, I’m grateful for that. But do you realize that with the kids beginning their own lives we won’t have any more issues to resolve? We won’t have the need to work together…”

“Sweetheart, the kids will need us for a few more years yet…”

“Jon, listen to me! What will happen to us when we have nothing to talk about? What will our subjects of conversation be? Politics? Sports? Your work? Celebrities playing dumb on daytime TV?”

It took a few minutes for the seriousness of my words to get through to him. When it did, it ruptured with a flood of words and half-formed questions. “Emma, are you leaving me? What are you saying? Please, don’t do this… Whatever it is, we can sort it out. I will do anything. Anything at all… Emma, please, please let me try—”

“Jon. Jon, stop. That’s not—”

“…Because I love you, Emma, and I would flip the whole world upside-down for you, you know that, right?”

I smiled in spite of myself at hearing this promise he’d made me the day he’d first confessed his love for me.

“I love you, too. And I want to make it work. I like what we’ve had so far and I want it to continue. That is why I want to talk to you. It’s best to talk and find a solution, don’t you think? Ignoring the fact that we could have a problem is not going to help solve it. Or prevent it from happening.”

I watched his shoulders lose some of the tension and then reached across my front with the one free hand to my opposite-side pocket.

“But this may help,” I said as I unfolded one-handed the four pieces of paper and smoothed them on the table between us.

Jon’s eyes reluctantly left mine and dropped to the paper. “What’s this?”

“A plan. Well, four. Plans A, B, C and D. I spent a lot of time thinking it through. Though I only considered the first one in detail for now. One of these is bound to work.”

Jon nodded. “Okay. I take it Plan A is the best, right?”

“Yes.”

“Hit me with it.”

He pulled his hand back and crossed his arms over his chest. I took a deep breath and started.
